Skiathos port
The island of Skiathos belongs to the Sporades islands complex and can be reached by air or by ferry. Ferries depart from the ports of Volos, which is 325km north of Athens and from Agios Constantinos, 165km north of Athens. Both ports can be reached by using the suburban buses KTEL from the Liosion station in Athens. Volos can also be reached by train. There are daily frequent scheduled ferry itineraries to Skiathos from both Volos and Agios Constantinos ports. Highspeed ferries that do not carry cars as well as conventional ferries depart to the island of Skiathos. The journey time from Agios Constantinos by a conventional ferry is approximately , whereas with a highspeed ferry it is almost 1,5 hours. The journey time from Volos by taking the conventional ferry is 2,5 hours, whereas the highspeed ferry takes 1 hour and 20 minutes.
