Santorini port
The island of Santorini belongs to the Cyclades islands and can be reached either by plane from Athens International airport or by ferry from Piraeus port or Lavrio port. The main port of Santorini, where all ferries arrive, is located at Athinios, 12km south of Fira, the capital of the island. From the port of Athinios, you can reach any destinations you want on the island by using the suburban buses KTEL in very low prices. Tickets can be bought on the sport or in the bus. There are daily connections from the port or Piraeus in Athens to Santorini. Ferries are both conventional and highspeed. The journey time with a conventional ferry is 9 hours whereas with a highspeed ferry approximately 5 hours.
