Taxi is the most convenient mean of transport, because the passengers can visit many places of the island quickly. However, it is the most expensive. The rates are fixed every year and are different for different seasons. There are no meters, but the rates are standard according to the destination and are displayed at the taxi square. By Bus

The local Bus service is the cheapest means of transport in Mykonos Island. There are two main bus stations which service the tourists' transportation at the most popular villages and the well-known beaches.

Ticket values depend on the destination but are very cheap, usually less than 2 euros. Bus frequency varies according to the tourist season (low or high). By Car or Motorbike

By Boat (refered to as "kaiki", caique)

It is the ideal mean to visit beaches at south and west part of the island. From Platis Yialos Beach and Ornos, departure kaikia (small boats, caiques) for Paranga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, Psarou. You can take information for the schedules and the tickets at the travel agencies at the port. Every day there is connection with Delos Island, which is only 2 kilometres west of Mykonos.
