A Review of Kos Beaches
KARDAMENA
Kardamena beach is located in distance of 22 kilometers south of the capital. It is one of the largest beaches, with a length of 3 kilometers,
and it is found in the village of the same name. In the village you can find hotels and taverns, while the beach offers you a lot of activities and comforts. It is a crowded, sandy beach, with crystal-clear waters.
KEFALOS BEACH
In the south-western coast of the island, in distance of 43 kilometers from the capital, you will meet Kefalos beach. It is from the most popular coasts in Kos, because it is famous for the cold, but very clear waters. It is very well organized, with sun beds, umbrellas, a lot of taverns and sea sport activities.
CAMEL BEACH
The beach Camel belongs to the village of Kefalos, in the south-western part of island. If you want a different beach, surrounded by rocks, visit it and you will be surprised.
MASTICHARI
It is the beach of the homonym village, which is situated in distance of 22 kilometers from the capital. It is an exotic beach, with white sand and turquoise waters. There is also a small port and from this depart daily boats for the island of Kalymnos.
TIGAKI
Tigaki is found near the city of Kos, in distance of 11 kilometers. It is a very cosmopolitan beach and for this, it is very well organized. It is the ideal beach for wind surfing and is extended at 10 kilometers length. You will meet visitors of every age, because the beach covers every kind of needs.
AGIOS FOKAS
The beach of Saint Fokas is one of the most picturesque beaches of Kos, because it combines in a unique way, sand and pebbles. You will find it in distance of 6 kilometers, south of the capital.
THERMES
It is located westwards of the capital, in distance of 8 kilometers. It is very popular for medicinal springs. Hot springs lead to this coast and for this the waters are ideal in order to they cure rheumatisms and arthritis.
